Not much left to see of this place. Actually, I have a feeling that I wasn't actually supposed to be this close to the ruin. I hopped a stile into this field, following a public footpath signpost, but with the ground completely covered in snow (and no footprints) the path was impossible to distinguish. I followed what seemed to be a low-resistance route down to where I took these pictures, but this page seems to indicate that the footpath doesn't get that close to the castle, in which case I was probably trespassing over somebody's field. Oops!
