I made some changes across the site tonight, mostly aimed at halting the tide of spammy comments which -- despite not getting any further than my moderation queue, and therefore serving no purpose whatsoever to those who spawn them -- still end up taking up more of my attention than I'd like. To this end, I've done something long overdue, which is to close off comments and trackbacks on a load of old entries (only the quiet ones). I don't think this will bother anybody, but it gives the spambots about 300 fewer points to target.
On a related note, let me know if you start getting 403 Forbidden messages, won't you? There's a small chance I've screwed up a regexp...
...that old blog i had on here is collecting 100 spams a day btw (should have mentioned it before I think). Presumably that will stop now though? Not a great problem though as I don't use that email account now anyway. Except to harvest spam.

This response is to Robin, and while I agree that the right is right. The designation doesnt actually come from that meaning. The right and the left are so called going back to The French Revolution and the seating arrangement. Those liberal, revolutionary politicians sat on the left and the conservatives sat on the right.

Hi. this is kind of an -unconventional- question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you've got it? I also have a blog and am actually looking to alter around the theme, nonetheless am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I'm extremely new to all of this ...so i am just not positive specifically the way to try to to it all but. I'll just maintain working on it one day at a time.
