Phew. Not dead yet. Working on some more meaningful entries that I hope to post soon, but for now here's a quick one that'll be interesting only to university friends.
Yesterday my Ph.D. supervisor held one of his legendary barbecues, and for once the weather was wonderful. For anybody curious about what goes on at these infamous events attended only by a select group of invitees, you can check out some photos:

I know your memory is starting to fail, but the weather was great last year also. Plenty of bright sunshine and frisbee throwing. Still, it was a great BBQ this year also!
P.S. I am also informed the weather was great the year before that, but I didn't attend that one due to being exiled to Sunny CA ;)
Don't you recall the two barbecues mere weeks ago when it poured with rain? A barbecue in clement weather is apparently a rarity this year.
A barbecue in Clement Freud is even rarer.
