Who wants to be a criminal?

"An Army major's £1m win on the quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire aroused suspicion after a series of coughs were picked up by studio microphones, a court has heard."

If this transcript of the show in question is accurate, the contestant and his accomplice are clearly guilty as sin. Could they really not come up with a better system than to cough every time the contestant said the right answer? Are these people five years old?

These people deserve to go down -- not for attempting to cheat the system, which is a roguish idea that some part of me even admires, but for being so brazenly bad at it.
