Well, at university crunch time is over, at least for a short period. Last week was a really busy one, gearing up for a demonstration and presentation in Manchester on Thursday. But it all went smoothly, and now I've got the chance to do some of the things I had to put off last week because there just wasn't any time to spare.
Like watching my prrrecious Fellowship of the Ring extended DVD and its massive amount of extra documentary features. It looks very much like this is the DVD of the year, if not the best DVD ever made. It's polished to perfection.
Also I've got a lot of catching up to do on National Novel Writing Month... I barely broke 10,000 words before I had to put everything aside and do some real work, but now I'm back in the game and really need to catch up. I should have 25,000 words by now, but I'll be happy if by the end of the night I've reached half that number... there's a lot of very fast, very low quality writing up ahead, I think. But I haven't given up yet. I already invested a lot of time in this.
I also need to do a ton of other stuff, including catching up on emails... keep holding your breath for a couple of days longer, folks, I'm getting there.

Hah, I finished my "novel" already. It came out at 19400 words ;-)
Now all I have to do is rewrite every sentence so it's 4 times as long, and I'll have something of publishable length.
The upside is that I think it might actually be half decent.

Wossname - cool, I think... you met your personal goal, at least, if not the official one. Are you actually rewriting? If so, how's it going?
