There you have it. An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale. Chris Lambert phoned me last night having just felt it in Manchester, convinced that this was the shockwave from an unimaginably huge quake somewhere, perhaps in Tokyo or on the San Andreas fault. Mercifully, he was wrong, and I was right. I should have made a wager.
I wasn't too worried by Chris's predictions of doom because I remember the last time we had an earthquake here in Nottingham, last year. Virtually everybody around here felt it, except me, since I was in a moving car at the time which made me miss the whole sensation. Felt quite disappointed at the time.
But I'm happy I got another chance to experience a small earthquake in safety, and much sooner than I expected. It was a surreal and interesting experience - not one I'm particularly eager to repeat, but one that certainly satisfied some part of my curiosity.
Well I think I slept through it. I'm not sure actually, I remember I woke up at some point fretting about my duvet falling off and being completely confused about which end of the bed I was at. So maybe I could put it down to tectonic action.
'The Town' is a must-see crime thriller which proves yet again that Ben Affleck is a talented director who is somewhere on the verge of greatness.
Im not going to say what everyone else has already said, but I do need to comment on your knowledge of the topic. Youre really well-informed. I cant believe how much of this I just wasnt conscious of. Thank you for bringing far more information to this topic for me. Im genuinely grateful and genuinely impressed.
One more wouldn't hurt now, would it?
