I don't have an idea for an actual entry tonight, so some individual bits and pieces will have to suffice.
If you read about the Fantasy Film League yesterday and want to have a shot, you can sign up to our Little League... giving you the chance to compete directly against other friends of trioptimum. Once you've created your account and chosen stars for your first fantasy movie, click 'join a little league' and enter the number and password that I'm going to post in the comments. That'll let you join "The Crazy Leauge of fun!" (and don't complain about the name, I know it's wrong, I didn't do it, and it can't be changed). Then, when the season starts you'll be able to compare your movie's progress against a load of other fascinating folks', and mine.
I've been playing with the new final release of Winamp3. It's a bit buggy, and compared to version 2 it's a resource hog (though still not as bad as Windows Media Player) but there's some quality about it that I really like, nevertheless. Winamp 2 is about five years old now, and was never particularly well designed in the first place (especially the main window's interface) so it feels like a cause for celebration that this dated piece of software has finally been given the major update it deserves. Most of the skins available at the moment are the typical self-indulgent misshapen behemoths created by graphic artists with no clue about good interface design, but I dare say that much better things lie ahead for Winamp3 in the customisation area.
I now have several days of email backlog to address. If you're waiting for mail from me, I'll get to it Real Soon Now. It's not been a terribly productive couple of days.
Anyway, that's all for tonight - I'm tired out.
Don't worry I know how it is. Fantasy film thing looks like fun and I'll do it for sure when I get some free time and am not knackered, busy, at work and/or hungover. Probably middle of next week sometime then! Thanks for signing my Guestbook by the way. Take care :^)
There are a few weeks left before the season starts, so no rush at all really (although I've already chosen my stars and finalised my film... the title? 'Charlie's Bagels' - har har).
Little league details:
It's little league number 783, and the password is 'clambake'.

Finally! I was able to get rid of my old XP with Windows 7 being so great! I was sick of the old pre-2000 desktop and windows. But I wasn't about to put Vista on any of my hard drives.. I love my computers too much for that.
After an overly-edited, chaotic, 30-minute final act in which a sweaty-faced, puffy-eyed Liotta drives around the suburbs, peering up through his windshield at police helicopters, dropping off hot guns, going to the grocery store, zipping back home to make meatballs (AGAIN with the cooking!), and so forth, he gets pinched for good.
How long did it take you to research this work? Amazing!
